For me it has always been a dilemma while being on birth control. The language created around anti conception is very heteronormative. Most of the information you find is about pregnancy and yes birth control does prevent pregnancy but for a lot of people it’s not about that but more about having control over your period. Now a lot of the news is focused on this birth control pill made for men when we should actually first focus on a system that is already there and needs a lot of more improvement.
