QUEER HANDBOOK

The word queer is a term that is being used by the lgbtq+ more and more everyday.
In the 16th century  the word meant “strange” or “peculiar”. Later in the beginning it was used to describe gay people in a negative way. From the 90’s until now people are reclaiming the word to something beautiful to identify themselves with.

To celebrate queerness me and some others from wdka decided to make a zine with people’s stories. The questions we asked were “What does being queer mean to you?” and “When and how did you first claim the term queer”

Together with this, people had to send a picture of their hand since it is a literal handbook. This together is what made the zine. There were no wrong ways of doing because being queer has no instructions.
